The core promise is to bring the world's news to the Watchmen Community in one place. Not just any news, but targeted categories and subcategories that help us be efficient for the things we are watching for. This helps us 'watch and warn' with greater focus and with supportable facts.
News is grouped by category and subcategory — 150 unique keyword combinations fetched daily. The reporting comes to the Watchmen community; you should not need dozens of browsers, bookmarks, and sticky notes to understand what is happening in the world.
Never forget articles that interested you last week or even months ago. Confidentially save what matters to you. When you return, saved articles are waiting — instantly recall what was important to you before.
For the interests the global feed cannot anticipate.
Global news feed curation will never fully satisfy every specific area of interest. PRMNews supports completely confidential, private ways to research inside the app — without leaving for an external provider.
Brave search is built into PRMNews — your private playground for traditional web search and news search that Brave supports. Every query can be saved for easy replay and refresh. You never have to guess how you worded something again; replay any previous search anytime. It is very fast: up to 50 articles fetched in under half a second.
Move the RSS feeds you already follow, or discover new ones, for targeted ingestion of news based on long-standing interests — or to explore new areas and learn more about the world. Feeds can run on a cron schedule that fetches and refreshes stored articles on your timetable, so when you log in the next day, fresh information is waiting for you to review.
Define your own news queries using keywords that ride on the same backbone as the PRMNews feed — interrogating qualifying news across 102,000 and growing sources in over 200 countries, in English. The data stays private to you: a playground to research your own interests, save those queries, and replay them at any time. If you believe a sandbox query might benefit the global feed, nominate it for review by a volunteer committee; queries of value to the community can be promoted into the daily global newsfeed.
Perplexity is the only AI-assisted search engine integrated into PRMNews. It analyzes, summarizes, and surfaces news based on the query you want to research — with world-class reference citations that point you to every source it drew on when formulating the answer. Open the reference links to read more detail about your research interests. For your convenience, your private searches are remembered so they can be recalled or refreshed at any time.

Private by architecture, not by policy.
Here is everything PRMNews knows about you: the email address and display name our sign-in provider passes us. That is the whole list. The boundaries below are not settings or promises — they are how every query in the platform is built.
Every record in PRMNews is scoped to a tenant. No tenant can see another tenant's data — ever. This is not a permission setting that could be misconfigured; it is a property of how every query in the platform is built.
Everything you create in Workbench — Brave Search, The Sandbox, Perplexity AI, Custom RSS Feeds, My Published Feed — and everything in your User Settings — Saved Articles, Saved Searches, My Engagements, Custom Presets, Notification Preferences, The Last Baton — is stored to your identity. No other tenant or user can see any of it. Not even your teammates.
The one place sharing happens is the room you build for it. You own your chat: invite up to 50 members, remove or ban anyone, at any time. The stream is visible only to the Team Members you appointed — no one else, inside or outside your tenant.

Your best tool in a sea of global news.
Participants consistently pointed here during demos. Filters help you shape your view of Top World News. You can filter by category, subcategory, date range, and select keywords that meet your specific needs. Then, once you're happy with your view, you can save it as a preset. Thereafter, just click the saved preset and it instantly re-asserts your preferences. The goal is simple: shape your view, save it, and recall it without rebuilding it every time.
The filter panel is where much of the value lives. Select categories and subcategories, set a date range, and include or exclude specific keywords.
Click Save preset to memorialize your filter panel and recall it in seconds. Mark a filter as default, and a fresh browser session automatically applies your preferences on login.
Clear-text search across every article in the database. As you type, autocomplete helps you choose the right entry; press Enter to filter to that exact preference.
Reset filter returns the article view to its default state. Sort by publication date ascending or descending. Paginate screen by screen as you go deeper into your research.
In the top navigation bar, the −3, −7, and −30 pills filter to the last 3, 7, or 30 days without loading the full archive into view. Click the active pill again to revert to the full default.
Visually dense, responsive, and efficient.
The app is rich and visually dense — especially when you toggle light and dark mode. Your layout choices follow you even on other devices.
Collapse the left navigation. Toggle wide or dense mode for three or four columns. On a phone, articles stack in a single column; on a tablet, rotate for a close approximation of the desktop experience.
Light mode or dark mode, layout density, filters — your choices are remembered and re-instantiated every time you log in. You do not redo your setup on every visit.
Read the article — and the metadata highlights beside it.
A question that comes up in every demo: if the news source retracts an article, is it still here? Yes, it is with only one exception. It's possible the article's hero image won't be available. If that occurs, you'll see all the article text with the default placeholder.
The detail view shows the full article, a link to the original source, and a metadata panel on the right — a combination of what the news source provides and sections extracted for your convenience.
Individuals, organizations, and quoted passages are surfaced so you can focus on the highlights without reading the entire piece.
If an article is retracted or deleted at the news source, it remains in PRMNews — the text is preserved in our database. The hero image is not guaranteed: if the source removes it, the view reverts to the default placeholder.
Rate and bookmark from the detail view. Share copies the URL to your clipboard — a toast confirms it — so recipients on social media get enough context to decide whether to open the full article at the source.

For the first time, we are materializing an evidence-based birth pangs analysis dashboard — drawing on many of the signs named in Matthew 24, Luke 21, and Mark 13. It is early days and still a work in progress, but the aim is to give the Watchmen community data behind what we read in the news cycle.
Transparency and audit matter here. Every claim on a dashboard is supported by a secondary, independent audit verification step. A dedicated audit dashboard shows the status of all audit runs — executed every day.
