Why I built PRMNews.

I’m Scott. I belong to a community that takes the charge to watch and warn seriously, both to understand the times, and to warn with love rather than fear or exaggeration. I’ve also watched my community get talked down to: we are accused of sensational headlines, confident assertions, and very few receipts. The people I know, my faithful Brothers and Sisters deserve better. Our conviction about what we know deserves evidence worthy of it. We balance a Biblical worldview with a critical eye to the world around us. The news is the signal. And note one thing: it is often hidden from us by layers of obfuscation and misinformation. Working with 120,000+ sources from 200+ countries, we can help you see the signal for yourself.

That’s the whole idea. PRMNews doesn’t tell you what to believe about the times. It gathers what the world’s news sources are actually reporting — and turns it into signals an ordinary person can read: what moved, how much, and where it came from. The discernment stays where it belongs. With you. PRMNews and our News-intelligence platform is just the tool.

For the past two and a half years I’ve been building PRMNews the slow way: bootstrapped, no outside money, one sprint at a time. A hundred and twenty-five of them on the backend (so far) with 120 sprints on the frontend. One branch-per-sprint, reviewed, unit tested, then merged. Twenty-one months from the first commit to a production ready News-intelligence platform. The commit history reads like a ledger, and I’m glad to show it to qualified investors in a due diligence process for Enterprise clients.

There’s no team photo to show you, because there’s no team to photograph — just me and exceedingly committed volunteers. The pipeline, and a small circle of users smarter than me have curated the platform with care and intentionality. If PRMNews serves you well, tell someone. If it falls short, contact me.
